Your journey begins in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city. Wagatil Safaris will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a city tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local markets.
After breakfast, you travel to Volcanoes National Park, home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. In the afternoon, you set off for a golden monkey trek. These playful monkeys are known for their bright colors and active behavior, making them a joy to watch. Overnight stay near the park.
This is the highlight of your Rwanda experience. Early morning, you begin your gorilla trek. Guided by rangers, you hike through bamboo forests until you meet a gorilla family. Spending one hour with these gentle giants is unforgettable. After the trek, you relax at your lodge.
After breakfast, Wagatil Safaris takes you across the border into Uganda. You travel through scenic landscapes of rolling hills and villages before reaching Bwindi. This forest is one of the best places in the world to see gorillas. Overnight stay near the park.
Your second gorilla trekking experience happens here. Each trek is different because you visit a different gorilla family. You may see mothers with babies, silverbacks, or playful young gorillas. Trekking in Bwindi is challenging but rewarding, offering one of the most unique wildlife encounters on earth.
After breakfast, you drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most famous parks. Along the way, you pass through beautiful landscapes and local communities. In the evening, enjoy a game drive where you may see elephants, antelopes, and lions. Overnight stay in the park.
Start your day with a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. Here, you will see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and many water birds. After the cruise, you continue your journey to Kibale National Park, known as the primate capital of the world. Overnight stay near Kibale.
Your safari ends with an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale. The forest is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. Watching them swing from trees, groom each other, and make loud calls is an amazing experience. After the trek, Wagatil Safaris transfers you back to Kampala or Entebbe for your departure.
