Travel Plan

• 01

  Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe

  Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by a professional representative from Wagatil Safaris. After a brief introduction, you will be transferred to your accommodation at Jet Villa Cottages for your first night in Uganda.

  Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

  After breakfast, your journey to Uganda’s largest and most scenic park, Murchison Falls National Park, begins. En route, enjoy a guided rhino tracking experience at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. After lunch, continue to the park and visit the iconic Top of the Falls, where the Nile River forces itself through a 7-meter gorge with a thunderous roar.

  Day 3: Full Day in Murchison Falls National Park

  Begin the day with an early morning game drive across the park’s savannah, searching for lions, giraffes, elephants, and more. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Nile to the base of the falls, offering great chances to spot hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic birds. An evening game drive will follow.

  Day 4: Murchison to Kibale Forest National Park

  Travel south through Uganda’s beautiful countryside and crater lakes region to Kibale Forest National Park, home to one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa. After checking in at Turaco Treetops, take a self-guided nature walk or join a community visit in Bigodi Village.

  Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale

  Start your day with an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure in the lush tropical rainforest of Kibale National Park. In the afternoon, explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a guided walk, known for its rich birdlife, primates, and vibrant community projects.

  Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

  After a relaxed breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most diverse wildlife destination. Arrive in the afternoon and embark on an evening game drive to spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, antelopes, and more in their natural habitat.

  Day 7: Game Drives & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

  Morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains to spot lions and large herds of Uganda kobs. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, home to hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and hundreds of bird species. An optional evening game drive can be done afterward.

  Day 8: Ishasha Sector & Transfer to Bwindi

  Today, you’ll head south to the Ishasha sector in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. Later, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the prime habitat for mountain gorillas.
  Optional: Visit the Batwa community (optional activity paid directly).

  Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

  After an early breakfast, set out for the highlight of your safari a gorilla trekking expedition. With guidance from expert trackers and rangers, you’ll trek through the forest to spend a magical hour with a family of mountain gorillas. After the rewarding Gorilla tracking experience, you will have an overnight stay at Bweza Gorilla Lodge for an overnight relaxation.

  Day 10: Transfer to Mgahinga for Golden Monkey Trekking

  Drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, the only park in Uganda where golden monkey trekking is available. After a detailed briefing at the park headquarters, venture into the bamboo-covered slopes for an energetic and unforgettable golden monkey tracking experience.

  Day 11:

  Drive to Lake Mburo National Park

  Begin your day with an early breakfast and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s smallest yet most scenic parks. Arrive in the late afternoon and enjoy an evening game drive. For a special experience, you can opt for a night game drive at extra cost.

  Day 12: Safari Walk & Transfer to Entebbe

  Enjoy a morning walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park, where you can spot zebras, impalas, elands, and more at close range on foot with a ranger guide. After the experience, begin your scenic return drive to Entebbe for your evening or night departure.
