  On the way to the park, your guide will take you on an en-route game drive, giving you the first taste of Akagera’s diverse wildlife. The scenery is breathtaking, with vast savannahs, woodland, and lakes stretching as far as the eye can see.

  You’ll arrive at Akagera National Park in time for lunch, checking into the luxurious Mantis Akagera Game Lodge, located inside the park. The lake is home to large pods of hippos, which can be seen basking along the shores, and Nile crocodiles lurking just beneath the surface.
